Congratulations to Pathways team members who completed the 2-Day Training on NVivo

Congratulations to the Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao team members who completed the two-day training on NVivo last week. The training was designed to enhance further the team's expertise on the qualitative data analysis tool, which is vital to the program's work on Monitoring Evaluation Accountability Research and Learning. Pathways will be gathering and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data for its baseline studies and continuing tracking of progress against outcomes, and research work throughout the lifetime of the program. Results of these analyses will inform the program's regular strategy review.

The Philippine Consortium for Social Welfare and Human Development Research Inc. (PCSWHDR) recently held a Nvivo Training-Workshop on February 8, 2023, through a Zoom video conference.

The workshop was led by PCSWHDRI CEO, Dr. Nicamil K. Sanchez, who committed to delivering top-quality training and support for Nvivo software needs. The participants of the workshop were selected consultants and researchers from the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) from India, Bangladesh and the Philippines.

The PCSWHDR is proud to announce that the IRRI is now a registered owner of a genuine Nvivo 12 Plus license, as well as a one-year subscription to the Nvivo collaboration cloud. The PCSWHDR is committed to its focus on partnership, quality, and excellence, and the successful completion of this workshop is a testament to these values.

Philippine Consortium for Social Welfare and Human Development Research Trains Faculty Members of the University of the Philippines Diliman on NVivo 12 Plus.

The Philippine Consortium for Social Welfare and Human Development Research (PCSWHDR) recently conducted a training program for the faculty members of the College of Education at the University of the Philippines Diliman. The program focused on the application and use of NVivo 12 Plus, a software used for qualitative and mixed-methods research.

NVivo 12 Plus is a powerful data analysis software that allows researchers to organize, analyze, and visualize unstructured or qualitative data. With this tool, researchers can easily code, tag, and search their data to identify patterns, themes, and relationships. It is widely used in various fields of research, including social sciences, psychology, health, education, and business.

During the training program, the faculty members were introduced to the basic features and functions of NVivo 12 Plus. They were taught how to create a new project, import data from different sources, and organize the data into nodes and categories. They were also trained on how to code and analyze the data, and how to create visual reports and diagrams.

The PCSWHDR training program proved to be a valuable learning experience for the faculty members, as it equipped them with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct qualitative and mixed-methods research using NVivo 12 Plus. The software is expected to enhance the research capabilities of the College of Education, and to enable its faculty members to produce high-quality research outputs.

The PCSWHDR is committed to promoting social welfare and human development through research and capacity-building programs. With this training program, the consortium hopes to further strengthen the research capabilities of the University of the Philippines Diliman, and to contribute to the advancement of research in the Philippines.
